Venturi Automobiles will be showcasing their latest electric vehicles at the upcoming Solutions COP21 event in Paris. The vehicles, all produced by teams in the technological research centre in the Principality of Monaco, will showcase a variety of innovations and solutions to provide clean and sustainable transport.
The Venturi VBB-3, the Antarctica and a single-seater Formula E race car will all be on display, all of which utilise innovative electric powertrains for different applications and different environments.
The Venturi VBB-3, a 12-metre long, 3.5 tonne vehicle has established multiple land-speed records and has been developed in collaboration with The Ohio State University (USA) as part of a student teaching programme. The VBB programme holds the electric world speed record set in 2010 at 495 km/hr.
The Antarctica, a zero-emissions vehicle for the Antarctic, is the first electric vehicle designed to be operated in extreme temperatures. It will give scientists access to research zones that are off limits to traditional combustion vehicles.
Speaking ahead of the Solutions COP21 summit, Gildo Pallanca Pastor, CEO of Venturi Automobiles, said: "It is an honour for us to participate in Solution COP21, which showcases the best innovate solutions in clean and sustainable development. The vehicles we brought are designed for operation in the most extreme cases, allowing us to continue to develop solutions that make this technology possible in everyday life."
