DS PENSKE got their biggest points haul of Season 10 so far when they finished third and fourth at the 2024 Monaco E-Prix. Stoffel Vandoorne found himself on the podium, with his teammate Jean-Eric Vergne just behind him, in a hugely promising performance from the team.
Representing a unique black and gold livery for the special Monaco race, DS PENSKE managed to make history around the principality and get their biggest points haul since the 2023 Hyderabad E-Prix – 14 months ago.
Both teammates went up against each other in the Qualifying Duels, but it was Vandoorne who progressed ahead in the Quarter Finals. By getting into the Duels, Vandoorne also maintained his record of having the most career duel stage appearances of 25, which is one more than Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans.
Vandoorne got all the way through to the Finals, and guaranteed PENSKE their first-ever front row start in Monaco. He started second after TAG Heuer Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein beat him to the Julius Baer Pole Position, with Vergne starting in fifth.
Fast forwarding to the race itself and Vandoorne lost out on a position with the Jaguar TCS Racing duo getting to the front. For two-time Formula E champion Vergne, he moved up one place position which meant both DS PENSKE drivers were able to play a tactical game when it came to taking ATTACK MODE.

It was Vandoorne who got the podium spot and his first piece of silverware since the final race of the 2022 season. It was also the first top-three finish for him at the DS PENSKE team, and a first for the PENSKE group who have never finished on the podium in Monaco, in either Formula E (2015-) or Formula 1 (1975-77).
“For me, securing my first podium of the season and finishing P3 at the Monaco E-Prix is a significant milestone in the season,” the Season 8 Champion, Vandoorne, said after the race.
“It’s been a journey filled with challenges and hard work, but standing on that podium makes it all worthwhile. I’m grateful for the support of my team and thrilled to have delivered such a strong performance on one of motorsport’s most iconic circuits. This podium is just the beginning, and I’m more motivated than ever to continue pushing for success in the races to come.”

For Vergne, a fourth place also meant that it was the first time since the 2016 London E-Prix that PENSKE had two cars in the top four.
“Starting P5 and finishing P4 in today’s race was a solid result for us,” JEV added after the chequered flag. “We fought hard out there, and every position gained on a track as challenging as Monaco is an achievement. It wasn’t an easy race, but we stayed focused, made the most of every opportunity, and brought home some valuable points for the team. We’ll take the positives from today and keep pushing forward as we strive for even better results in the future.”
