Buemi excluded from Berlin Race 1 result

Sebastien Buemi has been excluded from the official results for the FIA Formula E Championship Berlin ePrix after his car was found to have tyres that failed to comply with the minimum pressures.

The Renault e.dams star had worked his way from 14th to sixth on the road, which became fifth when Jean-Eric Vergne was given a five-second time penalty for an unsafe release.

However, following post-race checks, the tyre pressures on all four tyres on both Buemi’s cars were found to be below the stated minimum of 1.60 bar.

The result means that after taking the Julius Baer Pole Position and finishing second in the race, Lucas di Grassi has reduced Buemi’s lead in the points to 22.
