Turn 1 exit resurfaced

A new piece of surfacing has been laid over the bump in the road on the exit of Turn 1 at Battersea Park.

The area of track, approximately 50 square metres, has been changed after the bump caused issues with the cars getting airborne, which led to Jerome D’Ambrosio suffering broken suspension in his Dragon Racing car.

A temporary solution of a TechPro barrier was installed at the corner for race one, but as this narrowed the track, the race started behind the Qualcomm Safety Car. The new surfacing will allow the race to begin with a standing start.

The new track layout will be tried for the first time at 8.15am for first practice ahead of today's Visa London ePrix.
