FP1: Sette Camara tops Free Practice 1 in London

FP1: Sette Camara tops Free Practice 1 in London

Sergio Sette Camara (DRAGON / PENSKE AUTOSPORT) topped the timesheets in the opening session of this weekend's SABIC London E-Prix, with the fastest time in Free Practice 1 ahead of Round 13.

The Brazilian's 1m14.487s was enough to pip top four title contender Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing) and Round 10 winner Nick Cassidy (Envision Racing). Antonio Giovinazzi produced his best showing of the season in practice with the fourth-quickest time of the session, with reigning champion Nyck de Vries (Mercedes-EQ) fifth and Sebastien Buemi (Nissan e.dams) sixth.

Standings leader Stoffel Vandoorne rounded eighth and half-a-second back while his closest rival Edoardo Mortara (ROKiT Venturi Racing) posted the 12th-fastest time - spinning at Turn 1 and narrowly avoiding the wall on his final quick run.

Jean-Eric Vergne has work to do to improve on 17th, but practice isn't always about pace alone, with teams vying to get to grips with the unique indoor/outdoor circuit at the ExCeL; plenty of elevation changes and varying surfaces to contend with.

Just a second split the whole field of 22 cars.

FANBOOST

The votes for FANBOOST ahead of Round 13 so far sees an advantage for second-placed Edoardo Mortara (ROKiT Venturi Racing), with standings leader - Mercedes-EQ's Stoffel Vandoorne - also in line for a boost. Season 6 champion and Round 12 winner Antonio Felix da Costa (DS TECHEETAH), top four title contender Mitch Evans on home soil for Jaguar TCS Racing and Lucas di Grassi (ROKiT Venturi Racing) are all set for a 30kW bonus as it stands. The only one of the championship's top four drivers without FANBOOST at the moment would be Jean-Eric Vergne.
