Lotterer leads in Paris Practice 1, trouble for both Envision drivers

DS Techeetah's Andre Lotterer set the pace in the first Practice session of the day with a 1:10.667s lap, followed by Nissan e.dams' Sebastien Buemi with a 1:10.900s and his teammate Oliver Rowland with 1:10.922s.

The very first session of the day saw wet conditions cause trouble for a number of drivers including reigning champion and DS Techeetah driver Jean-Eric Vergne, Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler's Lucas di Grassi and both Envision Virgin Racing drivers, who sustained damage during the Practice session. For Sam Bird, a clash with Nissan e.dams' Sebastien Buemi caused damage to the rear wing while his teammate Robin Frijns hit the wall, damaging his suspension. With a red flag stopping the practice session temporarily, the Practice restarted before another meeting with the wall for Bird brought the session to a close early under another red flag.
