Rosenqvist scoops Julius Baer Pole Position for Round 2

Rosenqvist scoops Julius Baer Pole Position for Round 2

With the Julius Baer Pole Position in hand for Round Two here in Hong Kong, Mahindra Racing's Felix Rosenqvist looks quietly confident ahead of the main race, having posted a time of 1:02.836 in the Super Pole shoot-out.

Panasonic Jaguar Racing driver Mitch Evans would have started in second had he not received a penalty for exceeding 200kW during Super Pole. He will now start in fourth place.

With a revised running order, Rosenqvist will line up in front of Venturi Formula E's rookie driver Edorado Mortara, followed by birthday boy Daniel Abt (Audi Sport Abt Shaeffler) in third, Evans in fourth and DS Virgin Racing's Alex Lynn in fifth.

Posting a 1:02.577 lap - the quickest we've seen in Hong Kong yet - Evans secured a spot in the Super Pole shoot-out. Here, despite posting a time of 1:2.890, Evans used energy more than the permitted 200kW, resulting in his time from Super Pole being deleted, moving him down the grid.

Following yesterday's race, Sam Bird will start in 13th place after his 10 place grid penalty has been applied.

The revised running order for the race is:

1 - Felix Rosenqvist

2 - Edoardo Mortata

3 - Daniel Abt

4 - Mitch Evans

5 - Alex Lynn

6 - Antonion Felix da Costa

7 - Jean-Eric Vergne

8 - Oliver Turvey

9 - Luca Fillipi

10 - Nick Heidfeld

11 - Nelson Piquet Jn

12 - Lucas di Grassi

13 - Sam Bird

14 - Nico Prost

15 - Maro Engel

16 - Kamui Kobayashi

17 - Andre Lotterer

18 - Jerome D'Ambrosio

19 - Neel Jani

20 - Sebastien Buemi
