EA and Real Racing 3 team up with Formula E

Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today announced a new partnership between Real Racing 3, an award-winning* mobile racing franchise, and the FIA Formula E Championship, the world’s first fully-electric single-seater racing series, to live stream the 2017 FIA Formula E Qualcomm New York City ePrix in the game.

Real Racing 3, the no.1 free** App in over 100 countries, is the franchise that set a new standard for mobile racing games.

Developed at Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne, Australia - Real Racing 3 is available worldwide for download on iOS on the App Store, Android on Google Play and Kindle. With over 350 million downloads and 2 million daily active users, Real Racing 3 is the definitive mobile racing experience.

Ride onboard for a lap of the Brooklyn Circuit

Real Racing TV is a ground-breaking new in-game channel that puts content directly in the hands of players, with news and updates straight from Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne.

Featuring exclusive in-game only content, showcasing news and behind the scenes videos from live racing events around the world - Real Racing TV is a way for fans to view compelling racing-related content in Real Racing 3 without having to leave the App.

During the inaugural Qualcomm New York City ePrix, Formula E and Real Racing 3 have partnered to showcase racing and competitive gaming directly in Real Racing TV.

The event on July 15 & 16 will be the first FIA-sanctioned open-wheel race to take place in any of the five boroughs of New York City in modern history. The 1.21-mile circuit, which features 10 turns, winding along the waterfront neighbourhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn, will feature stunning views of the iconic Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

New York also marks the first time ever that professional sports stars, Formula E drivers, take on fans and gamers while broadcast live through Real Racing TV - the first competitive racing experience to be broadcast on a mobile platform. This means anyone, anywhere, can tune-in to watch competitive eRacing from their mobile devices.

*Real Racing 3 was awarded IGN's Editor's Choice and Pocket Gamer's Gold Award
