Celebrating the efforts by the teams within Formula E at the end of the season, the Climate Champion Award - created alongside the Climate Group's EV100 programme - acknowledges and awards their efforts to raise awareness and tackle inner-city air pollution through the promotion and development of electric mobility.
Season 6 was awarded to Envision Racing for their holistic approach to sustainability as a team, with a key highlight, its Race Against Climate Change Initiative. Last season saw Mahindra Racing being rewarded for becoming the first Formula E team to gain three-star FIA Sustainability Accreditation in September 2020.
Heineken® has launched its first sustainable bar concept, the Heineken® Greener Bar, at the London E-Prix Race as part of its wider role as a 'Sustainability Partner' of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship with ambitions to make event bars a little bit greener.
The Heineken® Greener Bar is a completely new entertainment experience for Heineken® that uses new building methods, materials and technologies focused on improving how we upcycle, recycle and reuse materials. Through its innovative design, the Heineken® Greener Bar will help to reduce waste, water, emissions and energy usage, ultimately creating a more sustainable bar solution for events.

ABB’s video series about its partnership with the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship showcases the closely linked and exciting worlds of a global technology leader and the pioneering global all-electric motor racing series.
Together, these two high-performance partners are driving progress in technology that will help ensure a cleaner, more sustainable future for coming generations.
The series of five videos explores common touchpoints between ABB and ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, highlighting parallels both in technology and philosophy.
At the start of Season 7, DHL and Formula E teamed up with leading sustainability influencer Finn Harries to find the planet's next generation of leaders through the DHL Visionaries campaign.
Hundreds of applicants applied, submitting their ideas for their vision of the future of sustainability, from the young hopefuls William and Ahmed were selected by the judges. The two winners received a full Formula E experience and a €2,500 bursary towards their future career or studies.
As part of the DHL Valencia E-Prix in Season 7, DHL and Formula E turned the grandstands green, filling them with 400 olive trees. Following the race, 350 trees were planted inside the circuit, and the remaining 50 found a home in Valencia's city centre in collaboration with a local non-profit organisation and DHL's Global Volunteer Day.
