After four seasons racing for Dragon in every Formula E race to date, Jerome D'Ambrosio moves to Mahindra Racing for the 2018/19 season.
Having driven in every Formula E race since the series started in 2014, d'Ambrosio is one of the most experienced all-electric street racing drivers on the grid.
The Belgian is a two-time race winner in Formula E, and, like many of the series' drivers, started his journey in karting before progressing up the single-seater ranks in Formula Renault, Formula Renault 3.5, Formula Masters and GP2.
D’Ambrosio joined the Renault F1 driver development programme in 2004 and was eventually promoted to official test driver in 2010. He made his Formula 1 debut a year later with Marussia before linking up with Lotus as a reserve driver the following season.
Jumping into Formula E in 2014, the Belgian driver signed with US team Dragon, where he remained for a total of four seasons, racking up a total of seven podiums. With a best finish of fourth in his debut season, d'Ambrosio slipped down to 14th at the end of the 2017/18 season before switching to Indian team Mahindra Racing for the 2018/19 season alongside Rookie driver Pascal Wehrlein. Both drivers pilot the new Gen2 M5 Electro.
