Ma Qinghua is a Chinese racing driver who has been competing internationally since 2005. He is most famous for making a number of free practice appearances in Formula 1 during test driver stints at HRT and Caterham.

As well as single-seaters, Ma has also raced touring cars, winning the Chinese title in the 1600cc class in 2011. His greatest international success came in 2014, where driving for Citroen he won race two of the World Touring Car Championship in Russia. This made him the first ever Chinese driver to win an FIA world championship event.

Ma already has experience in Formula E, having raced for Team Aguri in 2015 and then for Techeetah in 2016/17. Ahead of the season four opener in Hong Kong, Ma joined NIO as the team's reserve driver before replacing Luca Filippi ahead of the 2018 Qatar Airways Paris E-Prix.

For 2019/20, Ma joins Oliver Turvey in the new-look NIO 333 team as they get set to challenge for the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.
