Winners revealed: Formula E's end of 2018/19 season awards

After the most intense and unpredictable seasons in the history of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, we celebrate the heroes on and off-track in the end of season awards in New York City.

Climate Champion Award

While the battle for the Championship title is complete, the battle against climate change still rages on. Created to promote the adoption and development of electric mobility, the ABB FIA Formula E Championship is doing its part to raise awareness and tackle inner-city air pollution. The teams within Formula E are also doing their fair share in the race for clearer air - and together with the Climate Group and their EV100 program which promotes the widespread of electric vehicles, this award is to acknowledge all their efforts.

In the wake of one of the most intense and unpredictable seasons of inner-city street racing, it's been a challenge to choose a stand out 'wow' moment - there's been quite a few. Taking the award after one of the most intense finishes in the history of motorsport was Lucas di Grassi for his finish line overtake of Mahindra Racing's Pascal Wehrlein in Mexico City.

Modis Engineer of the Year

In Formula E, it’s fair to say there’s a more than enough on-track action. But Formula E is a team game, and it’s the engineers back in the garage who keep a driver’s championship hopes alive. That team work and innovation is behind the Modis engineer of the year award.
