São Paulo Street Circuit

With three long straights connected by tricky chicanes, sweeping corners and tight turns, the circuit for the inaugural race in São Paulo is expected to be a challenging affair for the pack, with high speeds anticipated from the all-new high-powered Gen3.

Starting on the the main straight that's usually reserved for carnival floats and revelry, there will be a different type of dancing as the drivers put their toe tapping to use on the brake pedals into the series of sharp turns, that feed to a looping hairpin that fires the field down the straight.

This straight is broken up with another challenging right-left-right series of corners to another long straight. The final sector sees more passing opportunities in the run to the finish line.

A carnival of motorsport

Brazil: The home of motorsport legends. Now all-electric racing makes its debut as the Formula E grid gets ready for its inaugural visit with a stop in São Paulo.

There's another form of electrifying entertainment hitting the streets of São Paulo; instead of floats and dancers we're bringing wheel-to-wheel racing around the city's Sambadrome. Hometown hero and former champion Lucas di Grassi hails from São Paulo and will be joined by compatriot Sergio Sette Camara as Formula E gets set for its debut in Brazil.

Meet your heroes in the pit lane walk

Meet your all-electric racing heroes and peek into team garages at the Autograph Pit Lane Walk! Secure your spot for this unique experience by collecting a wristband from the Collection Point in the Allianz Fan Village (available from 7am on a first-come, first-served basis). Please note there is extremely limited capacity, so arrive early for your best chance.

From 11:00 - Fans with wristbands meet at a Holding Area that will be communicated upon wristband collection

11:30-12:15 - Autograph Pit Lane Walk. Last entry at 12:00.

Cashless payments to speed up your race day

To make your race day experience easier, all bars and food stalls will be accepting cashless payments only, via a bracelet that can be collected once at the track.

STEP 1 Go to any Cashless top up roaming vendor, or top up station, within the venue to obtain your bracelet.

STEP 2 Load your bracelet in the top up station, paying the amount you want, using your debit card, credit card or cash.

STEP 3 Enjoy your food and drink in the Allianz Fan Village. Be sure to check your balance after each transaction.

STEP 4 Refund the balance of your bracelet that you don't use, requesting it online (mycashless.com/refund). Very limited cash refunds can be made at the venue.

* Please note, whilst bars and food stalls will operate on a cashless basis, the Fan Store is an exception to this and will only accept debit, credit or cash.

Location

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is coming São Paulo's Anhembi Sambadrome for the very first time. A venue that is home to the world-famous carnival celebrations and incredible samba schools, Formula E's grid will be bringing the party with its own kind of dancing as we toe-tap through multiple chicanes and attempt daring moves in pursuit of position.

Getting to the circuit

A free shuttle bus service to the track will run regularly from 7am on race day, from Portuguesa-Tietê subway station on Avenida Cruzeiro do Sul (sentido centro). The shuttle bus service will drop passengers off outside Gate 2 (Avenida Olavo Fontoura), from where it is a short walk to the ticket scanning point at entry. An accessible transport service, ATENDE, is also available, from R Marechal Odylio Denys, which will take passengers directly to their appropriate entrance according to the grandstand on your ticket.

Registered taxis only (not Uber) will be able to access up until Gate 2. There will be a registered taxi rank on R Marechal Odylio Denys.

Parking is available at the venue a cost but is subject to availability, which can be accessed via Gate 5 on R Marechal Leitao. A one-way system will be in operation before and after the event to ease congestion.
