Did you know... that his full name is Antonio Maria de Mello Breyner Felix da Costa?
Following two seasons with Team Aguri, which included a sensational win in Buenos Aires in Season 1, Antonio Felix da Costa moved to Andretti for Season 3.
Da Costa had previously raced for BMW in the DTM alongside his Formula E commitments, but with the German marque now partnered with the American team, he is racing in the all-electric single-seater series full time.
Coming from a racing family, da Costa started karting at the age of nine racing in a number of Portuguese championships against competition who were much older. In 2007, he progressed into single-seaters in Formula Renault 2.0. After gaining attention in both Formula 3 Euro Series and GP3, he joined the Red Bull programme.
He made his Formula 1 test debut for Force India in 2010 and has also driven all four Adrian Newey title-winning Red Bull Racing machines.
The works BMW driver scored a breakthrough victory in the prestigious DTM touring car series to bolster an already impressive CV that includes victory at the Macau Grand Prix, which he returned to in 2016, scoring a brilliant win.
For Season 5, da Costa remains with the Andretti outfit as it becomes part of the full BMW i Andretti Motorsport manufacturer works team.
