Did you know...Alexander Sims was one of the very first people to drive the Gen1 Formula E car before the championship began
Joining the ABB FIA Formula E Championship ahead of the 2018/19 season, Alexander Sims joins Antonio Felix da Costa at BMW i Andretti Motorsport.
Sims, like Félix da Costa, has raced as a BMW works driver for many years, and has celebrated countless successes in BMW race cars. He drives for BMW in the World Endurance Championship alongside his Formula E commitments.
Starting his racing career in karts in 1998, Sims went on to clinch the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award for promising young British drivers ten years later. The following year, the British driver progressed to Formula 3, where he started to combine single-seater driving with GT and sportscar racing in series such as Blancpain Endurance, British GT and Le Mans.
